Parent–Teacher Meeting (PTM) Policy
Building a Strong Partnership for Every Child’s Success
At A.S.A.S.V.M. School, we believe that the success of every student depends on close collaboration between parents and teachers. The Parent–Teacher Meeting (PTM) serves as an essential platform to discuss a child’s academic performance, behavior, and overall development.
1. Purpose of PTMs
To share the student’s progress in academics, co-curricular activities, and personal growth.
To discuss areas that need improvement and jointly plan strategies for better performance.
To strengthen the bond between parents, teachers, and the school for the holistic development of students.
2. Schedule
PTMs are conducted regularly after each assessment or term examination as per the school calendar.
The dates and timings of PTMs will be informed through circulars, school diary, or mobile app notifications.
Attendance at PTMs is compulsory for all parents/guardians to ensure effective communication.
3. Attendance & Conduct
Parents are requested to attend PTMs punctually and bring the school diary/report card for reference.
Any concern or feedback should be discussed respectfully and constructively with teachers.
Students must accompany parents in proper school uniform during PTM.
In case a parent cannot attend, they should inform the class teacher in advance and seek an alternative meeting time.
4. Confidentiality & Communication
Teachers will provide individual feedback in a private and respectful manner.
Parents are encouraged to share relevant observations about their child’s learning habits or challenges.
Discussions regarding other students, staff, or unrelated matters should be avoided during PTM.
5. Follow-up
Parents are expected to follow the suggestions given by teachers and monitor their child’s progress at home.
Teachers will review and record the action taken after each PTM for continuous improvement.
6. Special Meetings
Additional meetings may be arranged for students requiring extra attention or counseling.
Parents may also request a one-to-one appointment through the school office or mobile app if needed.
Our Beliefs
“When parents and teachers work together as partners, children learn better, behave better, and grow with confidence.”
